My research is organized around four areas: urban mobility, housing and community environments, low-carbon cities, and planning education, with an emphasis on bringing spatial networks, statistical models, and causal analysis back into concrete planning questions.
01 Urban Mobility Planning and TOD
I study rail–land-use interaction, urban travel, metropolitan mobility, and public-transport accessibility, with particular attention to the relationship between transport systems and urban spatial structure.
Research and practice: research on the integrated relationship between rail transit and land use under TOD; projects in integrated transport, public transport and BRT, and traffic organization.
02 Housing and Community Environments
I examine relationships among housing and community environments, residential satisfaction, sense of community, place identity, and subjective well-being.
Selected work: a 2025 article in Space and Society Review; the “Heart of Dwelling” framework and research on resident well-being.
03 Low-Carbon Cities and Carbon Emissions
I analyze the drivers of urban energy consumption and carbon emissions, with further work on transport emissions, carbon equity, and synergies between low-carbon goals and accessibility.
Selected work: First-authored articles in Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews and Journal of Cleaner Production.
04 Planning Education and Digital Tools
Focusing on urban planning and urban transport courses, I study how AI, digital platforms, and transport-analysis tools can support problem diagnosis, scenario development, and formative assessment.
Teaching foundation: principal investigator of a university-level undergraduate teaching-reform project; teaching achievements recognized at the National Urban and Rural Planning Education Annual Conference in both 2025 and 2026.

GIS and spatial-network analysis; structural equation modeling; LMDI decomposition and causal analysis; multi-criteria evaluation; system dynamics; AI and digital platforms.
