广东工业大学通识教育中心艺术教研部主任、校交响管乐指挥、讲师，公派美国普渡大学/维吉亚联邦大学乐队指挥项目访问学者（2014/2017年）、广州交响乐团、深圳交响乐团客席小号（2003-2007年）、中国指挥学会会员、中国音乐家协会管乐学会小号联合会理事、广州管乐学会理事。
从事交响管乐合奏研究/指挥17年，开设乐团合奏训练课程6门，主讲：“交响管乐合奏” “室内乐演奏” “爵士乐荟萃”“中西音乐文化比较”，娴熟运用“3D CHORUS” “Reforming the sound”乐队理论体系，多年从事交响管乐合奏指挥、训练， 近年获邀就交响管乐合奏题目赴美国普渡大学、加州大学洛杉矶分校、瓦尔帕莱索大学讲学，期间指挥维吉尼亚联邦大学音乐学院交响管乐团，欧米德大学青年乐团新作品音乐会公演获得好评。

     Mr. Liao Minghui studied how to play the trumpet when he was 9 years old. When he was 13, he passed the entrance examination for The Affiliated High School of Xinghai Conservatory of Music and acquired the highest score. He graduated from Xinghai Conservatory of Music. During the school days, he studied under Li Yuan, Li Guoan, Bo Lin and the famous conductor Cheng Yiming. He has attended the Music Festival which hold by Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra as the guest trumpeter since 2003. Some of Mr.Liao’s works and the conducter are: Leith—《Pines of Rome》，Sie；Strauss—《The hero's career》，Mr.Feng Yu；Dmitri Shostakovic—《The Seventh》，Vladimir Ashkenazy；Gustay Mahler—《Symphony No.1 in D major ‘Titan’》 JJas cut, Kass prachanda deed grams；Gustay Mahler—《Symphony No.2 “Resurrection”》Mr.Long Yu.

In 2005、2006, Conductor Liao attend：ITG (International TrumpetGuild)—Bangkok；WAMSB(World Association Of Marching Mhow Bands)—Korea；In 2007 summer, he’s be invited to lead Guangzhou Combination Wind Band and visit North America. The performance gained high reputation from  public and local Media’s in Toronto、NewYork and Los Angeles.In order to commend his great contribution for the cultural exchanges between China and the United States, Los Angeles’s government awarded the “Los Angeles Honorary Citizen” for Mr.Liao.

As conductor, Mr. Liao Minghui leaded the excellent wind music band, attending the band music activities held in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macau,for example:”Strait interrelations” concert、”Shenzhen intercollegiate Festival”、”Asian Pacific Band and Directors Association”—Mocao.Guangdong University of Technology Band won “the Best Performance” award in “Shenzhen Intercollegiate Festival”. In 2008, Conductor Liao leaded Guangdong University of Technology Band won the first prize in “Guangdong University Art Exhibitions”, silver award in “The sencond National Wind Competition” and also won the Best Conductor title.

On the campus open courses like: “Wind foundation and appreciation”、 “Jazz meta-analysis”、 “Symphony wind ensemble”、 “Chinese and western music culture comparison” etc. In 2009, Conductor Liao’s course is approved to enter into “Traditional culture and cultural tradition”-University-level courses, “University public course system and teaching module structure optimization study”- Provincial teaching reform project.
