Faculty Profile

Prof. Yingzong Liang's research focuses on thermodynamic, environmental, and techno-economic challenges in energy and water resource conversion, dispatch, and storage processes. His main research interests include intelligent optimization of advanced energy systems, gas–liquid intelligent behaviors in seawater desalination, carbon neutrality and life-cycle assessment, and supercritical CO2 power generation.

He has led multiple provincial- and ministerial-level research and education reform projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) General and Young Scientist grants, as well as the Guangdong Joint Fund for Offshore Wind Power. He holds more than 10 authorized Chinese invention patents and has published over 70 SCI-indexed journal articles. Over the past five years, he has published 21 SCI Q1 papers as first or corresponding author in leading high-impact journals such as Environmental Science & Technology and Energy Conversion and Management. His work has also been featured by international media outlets and platforms including AEii and Thermal Radiation and Micro/Nano Photonics. In addition, he serves as a peer reviewer for several international journals, including Applied Energy, Journal of Cleaner Production, and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews.
