LIANG Yingzong, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Master's Supervisor. His research focuses on the efficiency, environmental impact, and economic aspects of energy and water systems planning, conversion, dispatch, and storage processes. His main research directions include intelligent optimization of advanced energy systems, carbon neutrality and life cycle assessment, supercritical carbon dioxide power generation, seawater desalination, intelligent behavior in gas-liquid-solid multiphase systems, and cryogenic processes.
As a principal investigator, he has led two National Natural Science Foundation projects and two provincial projects. He has also participated in one industry-funded project. He has applied for and been granted more than ten national invention patents. He has published over 100 research papers, with 19 SCI-indexed papers as the first author or corresponding author in recent years, and the research papers have received press and media coverage such as AEii International Applied Energy.
He also serves in the editorial board of Symmetry and as a reviewer for many high impact international journals, including Environmental Science & Technology and Applied Energy. He has established long-term collaborations with renowned institutions such as Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Cornell University in the USA, and Queen Mary University of London in the UK.
Students with backgrounds in energy and power engineering, chemical engineering, and related fields are welcomed to apply for postgraduate positions.
