Abstract:Deployment of Plug-in Hybrid Electronic Vehicle (PHEV) will promote the cooperation among the power generation, power transition and power supply. In future, PHEVs are expected to be widely adopted. However, this will potentially increase the pressures and fluctuation on the power grid. On the contrary, PHEVs can be beneficial for power dispatching to efficiently manage load fluctuation or peak-to-trough, as long as the PHEV's (dis)charging behavior can be scheduled effectively. In this paper, motivated by the demand balance between generation and consumption, a satisfaction function is proposed to describe the individual demand response of users, while considering three objectives: the peak and valley difference, the costs of power generation and people's willing. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is used to optimize the real-time scheduling of the PHEV charging/discharging behavior. A near-optimal solution is proposed to avoid the negative influence of PHEV to power grid and the unfairness of charging. The proposed scheme can reduce the ratio of peak to average load by 5.32%, and reduce the cost of making electricity by 0.46%.
