Fang Yuan Xu (M’09) received the B. Eng. degree in electrical engineering and automation from the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Nanjing, China, in 2007, the M.Sc.and Ph.D. degree in information engineering with a focus on power system from City University London, London, U.K., in 2012.

 From 2012 to 2016, he was an R&D Engineer with State Grid Energy Research Institute,

Beijing, China. He is currently an Associate Professor with Guangdong University of Technology, Guangzhou, China. His research interests include smart grid,energy internet,demand response, power market, consumer behavioral analysis, microgrid EMS, and computational intelligence applications in power system.
