Xiao Dongliang, Ph.D., IEEE Senior Member, and an A-level talent recruited under the "Young Hundred Talents Program" of Guangdong University of Technology. His research areas include the operation of modern power systems and electricity markets, renewable energy resources, energy economics, and risk management. He earned his master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2015. Supported by the "China Scholarship Council (CSC) Program", he pursued his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) in the United States, under the supervision of Professor Wei Qiao (Clyde Hyde Chair Professor, IEEE/AAIA Fellow). He has previously served as a Research Assistant at the Power and Energy Systems Laboratory at UNL, an Autumn Intern Researcher at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories (MERL) in the United States, and as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Associate Researcher at the School of Electric Power, South China University of Technology, under the collaboration of Professor Haoyong Chen.

Research Achievements: Over the past five years, he has published more than 40 academic papers in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences in the field of electric power and energy, including three first-author ESI Highly Cited Papers (two of which are ESI Hot Papers). He has led one national-level project and three provincial/ministerial-level projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Young Scientists Fund (Category C), the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation General Fund, the Guangdong Natural Science Foundation General Project, and the Guangdong "14th Five-Year Plan" Philosophy and Social Sciences Youth Project. He has deeply participated in over 10 research projects, including the National Key R&D Program of China, the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), State Grid, China Southern Power Grid, provincial electricity trading centers, Guangzhou Futures Exchange, and the China Electric Power Research Institute. He has published two opinion articles in China Energy News, a media outlet under People's Daily, and contributed to the compilation of the "Jiangsu Electricity Market Trading Training Materials (Advanced)." Related achievements have received the following awards:
