He has been recognized in the Stanford University–Elsevier “World’s Top 2% Scientists 2026” ranking，Class A introduced talent under Guangdong University of Technology’s “Young Hundred Talents Program.” His research interests include new-type power systems and power market operation, energy economics, and risk management. He received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2015. Sponsored by the China Scholarship Council’s “National High-Level University Postgraduate Program,” he pursued his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL), USA, under the supervision of Prof. Wei Qiao (Clyde Hyde Chair Professor, IEEE/AAIA Fellow). He has successively served as a Research Assistant at the UNL Power and Energy Systems Laboratory, a Fall Intern Researcher at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories (MERL), USA, and a Postdoctoral Fellow and Associate Researcher at the School of Electric Power, South China University of Technology, working with Prof. Haoyong Chen.

Research Achievements: Over the past five years, he has published more than 50 academic papers in leading journals and international conferences in the electric power and energy field, including 3 ESI Highly Cited Papers as first author. He has published one English monograph with Elsevier, a leading academic publisher. He has served as principal investigator of 1 national-level project and 3 provincial/ministerial-level projects, including the Young Scientists Fund of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Category C), the General Program of the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, the General Program of the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and the Guangdong Province “14th Five-Year Plan” Philosophy and Social Sciences Youth Project. He is an invited expert of the working group for evaluating the formal operation of provincial electricity spot markets in China. He has been deeply involved in more than 10 research projects, including those supported by the National Key R&D Program of China, the U.S. National Science Foundation, State Grid, China Southern Power Grid, provincial electricity trading centers, Guangzhou Futures Exchange, and China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI). He has published 2 opinion articles in China Energy News, a media outlet hosted by People’s Daily, and participated in compiling the Jiangsu Electricity Market Trading Training Textbook (Advanced).

Related awards include: Second Prize of the Electric Power Innovation Award (ranked first); 2024 Outstanding Paper Award from the SCI journal Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems (PCMP); 2024 High-Impact Paper Award from the Chinese EI core journal Power System Technology; Best Paper Award at the international conference CEEPE 2026; Outstanding Paper Award at the Annual Meeting of the Specialized Committee on Risk Control and Safety Assessment of New-Type Power Systems, Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering; Best Paper Award at the international conference IEEE EIT 2021; and Most Influential Paper at the 2025 CSEE Annual Meeting.

Academic Appointments: He serves as Associate Editor of PCMP, a CAS Tier 1 SCI journal; Editorial Board Member of Scientific Reports and Scientific Reviews, Nature Portfolio journals; Executive Guest Editor of International Journal of Electrical Power and Energy Systems, a CAS Tier 2 SCI journal; Editorial Board Member of the English EI core journal Energy Engineering; Early Career Editorial Board Member of the Chinese EI core journal Power System Protection and Control and the Chinese core journals Electric Power, Electric Power Construction, Advances in New and Renewable Energy, and Distribution & Utilization; Guest Editor-in-Chief of the special issue “Risk Assessment and Risk Prevention and Control for New-Type Power Systems” in Electric Power Construction; and Review Expert for the Big Data and Statistics Branch of the China Electricity Council. He has served as Local Organizing Committee Chair of ICPES 2022, Publication Chair of PEPSC 2025, and Session Chair at ICREC 2022, ICPEE 2022, and IEEE ICPST 2025. He has long served as a reviewer for more than 40 SCI journals, including IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid, IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy, Energy Economics, Applied Energy, and Energy.

Teaching and Admissions: He has supervised undergraduate and graduate students who received the Innovation Award for Graduation Design and the National Scholarship for Graduate Students, respectively. He has served as an Outstanding Class Advisor for undergraduate students majoring in Electrical Engineering in the School of Automation. His research group mainly focuses on electricity markets and power/energy system optimization. Students with a foundation in or strong interest in any of the following areas are welcome to join: power systems/economics, mathematical modeling, artificial intelligence, and data analysis.
