My research interests are presently focused on low-energy ion/surface interactions for nanostructure control during low-temperature growth of transition-metal-based nitride, boride, and carbide thin films by physical vapor deposition. My work aims to improve mechanical properties, oxidation & wear resistance, and service lifetime of thin films used for high speed yet dry machining. In addition, plastic deformation and hardening/strengthening mechanisms of thin films have been investigated.
In 2016 I obtained PhD in Engineering for the thesis “Performance enhancing and deformation mechanism of nanocrystalline transition metal nitride hard coatings” under supervision of Prof. Zhoucheng Wang.
Between Aug. 2016 and Jul. 2018 I worked with Prof. Qimin Wang in Guangdong University of Technology as a post doc.
In Aug. 2018, I joined academia as a research fellow of Thin Film Physics working with Professor Lars Hultman and Grzegorz Greczynski. My close collaborators are Professors Joe Greene and Ivan Petrov from University of Illinois (USA).
In Nov. 2019, I rejoined academia as an Assistant Professor in Guangdong University of Technology.

团队由国家“千人计划”专家王启民教授领衔,目前还有校“百人计划”引进教授1人,校“青年百人”引进副教授3人,博士后1人,博士生4人,硕士生20余人。团队立足广工大先进加工工具与高技术陶瓷研究中心和先进PVD涂层技术,拥有硬质耐磨涂层、新型功能薄膜、高温防护涂层等研究方向。截止到2019年5月,团队已申请国家重点研发计划“政府间国际科技创新合作重点专项”、国家自然科学基金、装备发展部预研共性技术和领域基金、广东省自然科学基金等多项,累计申请发明专利超过50项,发表SCI/EI论文100余篇。
