Faculty Profile

Dr. Yingzong Liang is a Professor and Master's Supervisor whose research focuses on thermodynamic, environmental, and economic issues in the conversion, regulation, and storage of energy and water resources. His main research interests include: intelligent optimization of advanced energy systems, gas-liquid intelligent behavior in seawater desalination processes, carbon neutrality and life cycle assessment, and supercritical carbon dioxide power generation.

    He has led several research and teaching reform projects, including the General and Youth Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Guangdong Joint Fund for Offshore Wind Power. Dr. Liang holds over 10 authorized national invention patents and has published more than 70 SCI-indexed papers. In the past five years, he has authored or co-authored 21 SCI Q1 papers in high-impact journals such as Environmental Science & Technology and Energy Conversion and Management. His work has been featured by media platforms including AEii (Applied Energy Innovation Institute).

    Dr. Liang serves as a reviewer for several international journals, including Applied Energy, Journal of Cleaner Production, and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews. He maintains long-term research collaborations with renowned institutions such as the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, City University of Hong Kong, Cornell University (USA), Queen Mary University of London (UK), and Université Paris Cité (France).

    He warmly welcomes talented young researchers with backgrounds in Energy Engineering and Chemical Engineering , and related fields to join his research group.
